Post-jam version of Magnetic Linking will soon be in development


Hello everyone!

First of all, let's talk about the jam. The results are in. The game got the position #1739 overall, which is in the top 30% of all games. For a first time participating in a jam, not even mentioning that this is my first game released to the public, that is incredible. Thanks to everybody who voted and left the comment - your support and feedback are very appreciated. Thank you.

Perhaps even more incredible is the fact that the game managed to get #693 in the Originality category. That's almost in the top 10%, which is just amazing. I honestly didn't expect that the game would do so well. Again, thanks to everyone who rated and supported the game.

Now then, about the game. After seeing lots of positive comments, I've decided that I'll continue development of the game.

Version 1.1 will mostly focus on the things I didn't have time for adding during the 48 hour jam. That includes:

- more levels (14-17 in total)

- 2-4 new game mechanics

Of course, that's not everything. The game has a lot of bugs that I'll try to fix, namely:

#0001 - weird ON/OFF switch behaviour

#0002 - strange movement bug

#0003 - broken physics colliders

#0004 - game not working on Windows 7 device (not sure if that was the cause - this one might be tricky to solve)

... and many more. You might notice that the bugs are numbered - that's just so I can see which ones still aren't solved more easily.

Update 1.1 will also bring some QoL changes, and it'll mostly focus on polishing the game.

By the way, I already have plans for versions after 1.1. I'll probably polish the art, music and presentation of the game, and maybe make some changes to the web page.  After that, there will be another update - and that one is going to bring a lot of changes, which... Well, you'll see.

Expect development to begin by the end of this month.
